CONSTRUCTION AND REFURBISHMENT PROJECT MANAGER VACANCY

_(2 YEAR FIXED TERM PART-TIME POST, SUBJECT TO FUNDING)_

THE ORGANISATION:

Women?s Aid Dundalk CLG is a limited company with charitable status.
It was founded in **Apply on the website** by volunteers in response
to the identified need for a dedicated service for women and children
experiencing Domestic Violence. Women?s Aid Dundalk is a member
service of Safe Ireland, the National Social Change Agency working to
eliminate domestic violence in Ireland.

Women?s Aid Dundalk operates from an Empowerment and Trauma Informed
Practice perspective recognising that the journey a women/family makes
from Domestic Abuse/Coercive Control to safety is very complex and
will vary considerably according to the period of time that the abuse
was endured and type and level of abuse that was inflicted.

Women?s Aid Dundalk Aims:

* To provide safe secure and acceptable accommodation for women and
their children who are victims of domestic violence.
* To provide an ongoing support network for these women and
children.

To continue to achieve these aims, Women?s Aid Dundalk is seeking to
recruit a Construction and Refurbishment Project Manager for its
proposed new purpose-built Refuge in Dundalk.

THE ROLE:

Reporting to Women?s Aid Dundalk?s Services Manager, this person
will organise and oversee the entire project on behalf of Women?s
Aid Dundalk including, financing, construction and refurbishment, fit
out and staffing. They will provide support to the Management Team of
Women?s Aid Dundalk by assisting with the development of a detailed
Business Case for submission to funders and by overseeing the project
from Stage 2 of the CAS funding application through to transition of
all planned and existing operations and activities to the new
development.

The successful candidate will have:

* A relevant third level qualification.
* Proven experience in similar construction/refurbishment project
management, including financial management and compliance with Health
& Safety standards.
* Strong independent judgement and analytical abilities including
project delivery methodologies from business planning through
construction to post-completion benefits realisation.
* Excellent communication and reporting skills.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, excellent
communication, problem solving, negotiation and presentation skills,
be team oriented and aware of effective stakeholder management.
* Experience of working with/within the Community & Voluntary
Sector.
* An awareness/understanding of the issue of Domestic Abuse/Coercive
Control and its impact on women and children.

DURATION OF CONTRACT:

The employment period will be from July **Apply on the website** to
July **Apply on the website**, Women?s Aid Dundalk facilitates
remote working where possible and this post will be a combination of
remote and onsite working. Flexibility will be required around the
days worked each week to align with the needs of the Construction and
Refurbishment Project.

REMUNERATION
